The historic market town of Abingdon, set on the River Thames and once famed for its ancient abbey, is only three miles away. Just 10 miles to the north is the university city of Oxford, with its splendid architecture, pleasant parks, riverside walks and bustling shopping centre.

London is just an hour's drive away or 40 minutes by train from Didcot, so provides ideal accommodation for those looking to visit London but wishing to stay somewhere more peaceful than the busy capital.

If you enjoy the countryside, the Ridgeway and the famous landmark White Horse Hill are a pleasant drive away. You can be in the Chilterns, the Cotswolds, at Legoland, Windsor Castle or Blenheim Palace in less than an hour.

Brook Farm Cottages are centrally located for many famous historic towns such as Warwick, Cheltenham, Stratford on Avon and Bath. They are in easy reach of the A34 main road which leads to the south coast channel ports of Southampton and Portsmouth or north to Birmingham and links with the M4 and M40 to London and its airports. All approximately one hour away.

Accessibility Statement And Directions

Brook Farm cottages can only be accessed by car. For Satellite Navigator purposes the post code is OX14 4EZ.

The nearest bus route is over a mile away down a country road without a foot path. The nearest train station at Didcot is 5 miles away.

If approaching the cottages from the south and M4 leave at Junction 13 head north on the A34 towards Oxford. After approximately 15 miles you will approach the exit for Didcot and Milton Park, stay in the lane for Milton Park.

Drive over the bridge and just before the information/security kiosk to the industrial park take the left turn in to Milton village. Drive straight through the village over the mini roundabout at the far end and drive straight on towards Drayton. One mile after leaving the village you will pass Brook Farm cottage sign on your left. Pull off the road by the sign close to the cottages and collect the key from the red brick farmhouse.

If approaching the cottages from the North take the ring road around Oxford and get on to the A34 heading South to Newbury. Drive past both exits for Abingdon and continue for a further 4 miles to the exit for Didcot and Milton Park. Take this exit and stay in lane for Milton Park, then follow the directions as above.
